The Volunteer Incentive Committee meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. at the Broad Brook Fire House.
Motion: to approve May 15, 2006 minutes

Cal Myers provided data for Broad Brook Fire Department for April, May, and June 2006. Although the total for the period meets budget allocation, some of the individual line items do not add to the total for that line. Cal Myers will investigate this discrepancy. The total Broad Brook payout for April, May and June was $23,9228.00.
The Committee reviewed the background, which results in the last quarter of last year being paid out of next year’s budget allocation. Bill Dove will review this situation with the Board of Finance.
Jim Barton reviewed the Warehouse Point Fire Departments quarterly payout. An error was made resulting in an over payment to the Warehouse Point Volunteers. This will be corrected when the July, August and September payouts are generated. The actual expenditures for April, May and June 2006 were $12,950.00.
The committee discussed the use of fire department personnel sent on medical calls. Cal Myers indicated that attempts have been made to curtail the number of medical calls to which fire department personnel are dispatched. Cal was asked to try to keep track of the medical calls for one month to give the committee some feel for this activity.
The next meeting will be held on Monday, November 6 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Broad Brook Fire House.
